As a trainee at Collett Dickenson Pearce, arguably London’s most lauded advertising agency, I learnt that idea-driven creativity conquers all. Switching from client management to copywriting, I gradually gained a reputation as a respected writer, picking up major awards in London, Cannes and New York.

Over the years, my varied advertising career taught me to accept that no one is obliged to read what I write. Using all the skills at my disposal, I need to grab people’s attention with impact and imagination, then keep them reading with wit, charm and craftsmanship. I must continually reward the reader.

Four decades on, I apply this principle to each new project.

I’m an avid researcher of products and services in the luxury sector. During my long career as a model, I’ve developed a discerning (some might say fussy) eye and an appreciation of the qualities that make upscale experiences memorable.

Travelling the world, I’ve realised that luxury is elusive and hard to define… a garden shower under swaying coconut palms can be more alluring than gold taps and an expanse of marble.

My work as an interior stylist in Barbados, London and the English home counties has helped me value design and interpret clients’ needs. Overall, my meandering journey has been excellent preparation for my current role as Howard’s right-hand woman.
